Dick Hyman, Piano

During the period from 1981 to 1986, Dick Hyman made the trip to Cleveland once a year. The purpose of each visit was to perform at the keyboard at Chung's Chinese Restaurant. It was thanks to Albert Chung Chan, Chung's proprietor, and his resident pianist, Larry Booty, that a live jazz policy was established at the restaurant in 1977. The performance heard on this recording took place on September 26, 1985.

Of particular interest to our members will be the liner notes, written by Dick Hyman, which give an interesting account of his experiences at Chung's.
